Vine Orders Manager - Help Guide

vOm combines live Vine Orders, Amazon Order History, completed Vine reviews, and official Vine itemized reports where the marketplace provides them. Scanning and report generation happen locally. Optional cloud sync stores the completed report in your own OneDrive or Google Drive account, and the optional AI review assistant sends only the disclosed review-drafting context to OpenAI when you select Generate review.

Use vOm at your own risk. Amazon discourages automation of its site, and neither vOm nor its author is responsible for any action Amazon may take against your account.

Scanning reads your Amazon pages automatically. vOm opens and reads your own Vine Orders, Amazon Order History, Order Details, package tracking, and Completed Reviews pages on your behalf. That is automated access to Amazon, however ordinary the pages are.
Large or frequent scans can put you in "Vine Jail." Requesting many pages in a short time can trip Amazon's rate limiting, which typically shows up as a verification page or a temporary block on Vine pages. Prefer Scan for updates over repeated full scans, and leave time between scans.
If Amazon shows a verification or sign-in page, stop and resolve it yourself. vOm stops the scan and keeps the progress it already saved. Do not restart the scan repeatedly against a page that is asking you to verify.
vOm is not affiliated with Amazon or the Vine programme. It gives no advantage in searching for, ordering, or being offered Vine products. It only organizes information Amazon already shows you.
Your report stays local unless you enable cloud sync. Connecting OneDrive or Google Drive copies the completed report and VCS tags directly to your own provider account so another vOm installation can use them. The extension publisher cannot view that file. Separately, the optional AI review assistant sends only the review-drafting context shown in its dialog to OpenAI, and only when you ask it to.
You are responsible for what you submit to Amazon. vOm never submits a review for you. Reviews must reflect your own honest experience with the product, as the Vine programme requires.

This same notice appears in its own window when you open the extension. That window carries a Don't show this again checkbox, and the ? button in the popup can bring it back at any time.

Popup controls

Scan actions use a supported Amazon marketplace tab in the current window. If none is open, vOm creates an inactive Vine Orders tab for the marketplace saved with the report, defaulting to Amazon.com for a new installation.

Full Scan: Shown only when no report data is cached. It scans Vine Orders first. On Amazon.com it derives the required tax years from the order dates found there and loads only those official itemized reports; marketplaces without the U.S. itemized tax-report stage continue directly to Amazon Order History. It then checks review availability. Completed Reviews is read in the background at the same time as Order History; if that background read cannot run, the scan visits Completed Reviews itself. On Amazon.com, tax-report ETV values initialize products that do not yet exist in the cache.
Scan for updates: Shown after report data has been saved. It checks Vine Orders first and combines the dates of saved and newly found products. On Amazon.com it reloads only the official itemized-report years represented by those orders; other marketplaces skip that U.S.-specific stage. It records an ETV history entry only when the tax value differs from the last scanned value. Non-cancelled products retain their cached ETV. Cancelled products use the current/net tax ETV while Cancelled ETV retains the original cached value. The scan then refreshes estimated arrival and delivered dates for eligible saved products. When Amazon shows both a current estimate and a historical note such as "Previously expected ...", vOm keeps the current estimate (for example, "Now arriving ..."). When Estimated Arrival Date is today and Shipped Date is blank, vOm follows Amazon's Track package link and fills Shipped Date only if tracking confirms the Shipped milestone. It uses the earliest shipment-related tracking-event date, falling back to the tracking-check date only when the milestone is confirmed but no event date is available. One tracking page can update every matching order or ASIN listed in the same package. A later blank itemized report does not erase the tracking-confirmed date. Products whose final promised delivery day has passed, and products ordered more than 30 days ago, are checked through their exact Order Details pages instead of extending Order History pagination. Exactly 30 days remains in the batched history scan. If Amazon omits an eligible product from the Order History pages vOm does scan, it receives the same direct fallback check before the scan finishes. Unresolved saved review statuses are refreshed within the current update's date span before review-form availability is checked. Completed Reviews is authoritative: Pending approval or Approved replaces a stale Write review value, including when Vine reports the review under a slightly different order date.
Delete data: Shown after report data has been saved. After confirmation, it permanently removes the locally cached combined report and scan progress. It does not delete previously downloaded Excel files or a connected provider's cloud copy. Disconnect cloud sync first if you do not want the cloud report to restore the local report when vOm checks again.
Cloud sync: Optional cloud sync copies the most recently completed report and VCS tags between vOm installations signed into the same provider account. Connect OneDrive or Google Drive from the popup once on each computer. A completed scan or relevant saved-data change uploads automatically, and opening the popup checks the provider's timestamp and revision metadata before downloading anything. Sync now performs the same check immediately. If both computers changed their report independently, vOm does not overwrite either copy until you choose Use cloud report or Keep this report.
OneDrive location: the file is visible at OneDrive/Apps/Vine Orders Manager/vOm-sync-v1.json. Google Drive location: the file is stored in Google's hidden application-data area (appDataFolder), so it intentionally does not appear in My Drive, search results, or normal Drive folders. The popup's Cloud sync status is the place to confirm its Google sync time.
The completed report and VCS tags are synchronized. OpenAI API keys remain local by default, but the AI dialog includes an optional Sync this API key in cloud sync checkbox. When enabled, the key is added to the same cloud file: in OneDrive that file is visible under Apps/Vine Orders Manager, while in Google Drive it remains in hidden appDataFolder. AI review drafts, display preferences, temporary autofill data, and an active scan's working state remain local. OAuth tokens are stored in extension-local storage and are never included in the cloud file. Disconnecting stops synchronization but does not delete either the local report or the existing provider copy.
Reconnect: Appears in place of Sync now when the provider has stopped accepting the saved authorization. Google Drive connections are the usual reason: Google issues vOm a browser token that lasts about an hour, and renewing it silently requires an active Google session in this browser. When the silent renewal is refused, one Reconnect restores the connection in place, keeping the same provider and the same cloud file. It replaces having to disconnect and connect again, and the reported provider message is shown beneath it so a genuine problem is distinguishable from an ordinary expiry.
Clear ETV history: Available in the web report's ETV Changes tab when history exists and no scan is running. After confirmation, it removes only saved ETV change-history rows. Orders, tax data, delivery dates, reviews, and all other cached report content remain unchanged.
Scan latest ETV: Available for Amazon.com reports in the web report's ETV Changes tab. It loads only the official itemized-report years represented by saved orders, compares their ETV values with the saved report, records new ETV changes, and then stops. If saved rows have no usable year, it falls back to Amazon's available report years. The action is disabled for marketplaces without the U.S. itemized tax-report stage. It does not visit Vine Orders, Order History, Order Details, Completed Reviews, or review-form pages.
Web report: Scan for updates and Delete all data: The Orders tab includes the same Scan for updates workflow as the popup. Delete all data requires a detailed confirmation and removes the entire cached report, including orders, delivery dates, reviews, tax information, scan diagnostics, and ETV history.
Open web report: Opens the saved sortable and filterable report. Product names imported with HTML character references are displayed as their intended characters, including in previously cached reports. Every column header has an × button that hides the column; hidden-column pills below Quick filters restore individual columns, while Show all — in the button column to the right, level with those pills — restores every column at once and is greyed out while nothing is hidden. Quick-filter presets also hide task-specific columns, and the preset whose filters and sort are currently applied is highlighted. A preset the saved report cannot satisfy is greyed out rather than emptying the table, and hovering it explains that no saved products are in that state right now. The VCS column filter is the exception to Clear filters: it persists between sessions and is released only from the VCS column's own Clear Filter, so a filtered VCS header is marked orange instead of green. Most cells have a clipboard button that copies their displayed text, excluding Picture, Order Type, Review Status, and Review Quality Score. The first two columns are compact and headerless: an ✎ edit button, then a clipboard button that copies the product description, order date, order number, and ASIN as a four-line summary. Neither can be sorted, filtered, or hidden. It is disabled until a scan has saved data. If a scan was stopped, the partial report can still be opened and displays an incomplete-scan warning.
Estimated Arrival Date: Amazon's arrival estimate for a product that has not been delivered yet. Anything arriving within the next week is shown as Today, Tomorrow, or In 5 days, and an estimate given as a range reads the same way — In 6 to 12 days. Estimates further out, already past, or worded in a way vOm cannot read show the date as Amazon gave it. The column always sorts by the actual date behind that text, so the countdowns stay in chronological order, and a range sorts on the earliest day it might arrive. This single column replaces the earlier Estimated Date and Sorting Arriving Date pair; the second one existed only to sort the first, and nothing needs both any more.
Edit product values (✎): The ✎ button in the web report's first column opens an editor for one saved product. Order Number, ASIN, and Product Name are shown but cannot be changed: they identify the product, and editing one would disconnect it from its Amazon pages and its own saved history. Every other field can be edited, including dates, ETV, review status, and the picture and link URLs. Changes are discarded unless you select Save changes.
An edited field is marked with an orange M badge, and later scans will not overwrite it. Your value stands until you revert or refresh it, so a manual correction cannot be silently undone by the next scan.
Select the M badge — on the table cell or beside the field in the editor — to see Amazon's original value alongside yours, with two actions. Revert restores the original value and hands the field back to future scans. Refresh from Amazon reads the value from Amazon again, replaces yours with what Amazon currently reports, and also hands the field back. Refreshing reads one page: the product's Order Details page for delivery, arrival, cancellation, replacement, and picture values; the package tracking page for Shipped Date; and the review-availability check for Review Status. ETV is not refreshed this way because it comes from a whole year's itemized report — use Scan latest ETV on the ETV Changes tab. Refreshing is unavailable while a scan is running.
Generate Excel File: Available from the web report. It builds and downloads a genuine XLSX workbook named vOm-YYYYMMDD-HHMMSS.xlsx.
AI review assistant: The AI review assistant exists to help you put your own honest, unbiased opinion into words — not to write a review on your behalf. Your rating and your comments are the only evidence of personal experience it is allowed to use; it cannot invent an experience you did not have, and it cannot copy what other customers said. Every field it produces is a draft for you to read, correct, and take responsibility for before you submit it to Amazon.
Rows whose Review Status is Write review include an AI button. It loads the Amazon product title, product details, Amazon's displayed aggregate rating and rating count, and up to 20 customer reviews, then opens a dialog for your 1–5 star rating and personal comments. The product name at the top of the dialog links to its Amazon product page in a new tab. The initial star selection is Amazon's aggregate rating rounded to the nearest whole star; a product with no ratings starts at four stars. When either the original or a comparable product has more ratings than the reviews first loaded, vOm loads reviews matching that product's rounded aggregate rating first, then tries the next higher and lower star bands until it has enough; recent unfiltered reviews fill any space left. The status line reports which star bands were used. A previously saved draft or a rating you choose while context is loading takes priority over the initial star selection. The editable headline and review fields remain visible throughout the workflow. An optional comparable Amazon product link loads a separately labeled set of comparable-product reviews and reports the number loaded. Loading a comparable product combines the two aggregate ratings weighted by their rating counts; if the result differs from your current selection, vOm shows an inline recommendation with both products' ratings and buttons to use the recommendation or keep your current rating. It never changes your rating without your explicit choice. Editing the link does not erase the loaded count; loading again replaces rather than appends reviews, and the adjacent × clears the link and loaded comparable context. Select Generate review to send that context to OpenAI and receive an editable headline and review. OpenAI settings are at the bottom of the dialog, immediately above the action buttons. Select Copy final prompt to use the same bounded context and instructions manually in another AI service without an API key; the button briefly displays ✓ Copied. After copying that service's JSON response, select Paste AI response to extract its title and review into the dialog. The rating, comments, comparable link, headline, and review are saved locally per product and restored when its dialog is reopened. Close the dialog with the × in its top-right corner. Open review page & autofill transfers the edited draft to Amazon's review form for 30 minutes, fills the stars, headline, and review when the form appears, and never submits it. Its success or warning notice disappears automatically after five seconds. Review every field and submit manually.
Stop scan: Enabled only while a scan is running. It stops the scan while preserving cached data and completed partial progress.
Build version, i, and ?: The version identifies the loaded extension build. The i button opens the Changelog on this site, which lists the user-visible changes in each release newest first. The question-mark button opens this Help Guide. Both open in a new browser tab and require an internet connection.

While a scan is running, the toolbar icon shows a red status dot. After a successful completion it shows a green dot, opens or focuses the web report, and displays three colorful firework bursts there. Stopped or failed scans do not open the report. The animation is skipped when reduced motion is enabled.

The web report's ETV Changes tab retains change history with Order ID, ASIN, Product Description, ETV Type, Date/Time, and ETV Value. The first detected change creates an original entry dated with the order date and a scanned entry timestamped with the scan time. Later scans add another scanned entry only when the tax ETV changes again. Rows are sorted by Order ID ascending and chronologically within each order. The same history is exported to an ETV worksheet in generated Excel files.

API generation requires your own OpenAI API key. The API key field includes a Get an API key link that opens https://platform.openai.com/api-keys in a new tab, and the key is always stored in extension-local storage on this browser. The model dropdown defaults to the economical gpt-4o-mini, includes GPT-5.6 Luna, Terra, and Sol presets, and has a Custom model option for entering another model ID manually. The optional Sync this API key in cloud sync checkbox adds the key to the cloud-sync file; that file is visible in OneDrive and hidden in Google Drive's app-data area. Copy final prompt requires no API key. Both paths treat your comments as the only evidence of personal experience, prevent customer-review text from being copied, and distinguish comparable-product reviews from reviews of the primary product. Drafting instructions request a concise, natural first-person owner review in two to four short paragraphs and prohibit second-person advice, invented usage details, dashes, links, headings, marketing language, clichés, exaggerated claims, prohibited source references, and filler. A downside is included only when your comments support it; customer reviews, including comparable-product reviews, cannot supply a personal downside.

Standard scan summary

Rows in scan: The number of saved report rows included in the latest scan. It does not mean that all of those rows are new.
Saved rows: The total number of consolidated rows currently stored in the extension cache, including rows outside the latest scan interval.
Total FMV: The sum of the current Estimated Tax Value/Fair Market Value across the entire saved report after cancellation adjustments.
History matched: The number of rows from the latest scan connected to Amazon Order History, normally by finding the exact same Amazon order number. A match allows vOm to attach image, estimated arrival, delivered, cancellation, and replacement information. Matched does not mean newly added.
Saved unmatched: The number of rows across the entire saved report that still were not connected to an Amazon Order History entry.
Review data: The number of saved rows containing either a review status or a review quality score. Review statuses can include completed-review values, Write review, and Un-reviewable.
Pages scanned: The number of Vine Orders, Amazon Order History, and Completed Reviews pages read by the latest scan, whether they were visited directly or read in the background.

Delivery/new-order summary

Existing products checked: Saved products whose delivery or estimated-arrival information was eligible to be refreshed.
Changed: Checked products whose delivery-related values changed compared with the saved cache.
New Vine products added: Products found before the newest saved-order boundary that were not already in the cache. This is the value that represents newly added orders.
Order Details pages checked: Overdue products, products ordered more than 30 days ago, and eligible products omitted from Order History that were checked individually through their exact Amazon Order Details URL.
Order-detail checks failed: Individual Order Details requests that could not be parsed or completed. The cached report is preserved.
